Once upon a time I was a twelve year old girl obsessed with the Jonas Bros. (No! Stop running away and throwing pens at me! That hurts!) Anyway, in the second Camp Rock movie (hey, admit it, they were pretty cute! No? You’re kicking me out of the club? Rats!) Nick Jonas (he had a different name in the movie, which I refuse to look up, haha) wrote a song for a girl entitled “Introducing Me.” This song was (and remains) on my list of “100 Songs I Want At My Wedding.” It is possibly the cheesiest, cutest thing ever. (Seriously, if this song would be a food, it would be a vat of spicy nacho cheese with extra cheddar. Can’t get more cheesy than that!)
Anyway, the reason why it’s so cute is the fact that Nick wasn’t afraid to say the things that made him unique, even if he sounded weird. SO, I (following in the footsteps of Nick, life the clean-cut cookie cutter kid that I am, spoon-fed on Martha Stewart, Disney and Emily Post [can I get a standing ovation for sarcasm here, people?]) have decided to introduce myself in a way that is a) brutally honest and b) right now. My reasons for this are thus: (ha! That sort of rhythms!) If I don’t introduce myself, there will be a bunch of creepy strangers reading my blog. If I DO introduce myself, there will be a bunch of creepy strangers who now know LOADS of potentially dangerous information about myself reading my blog. Yay!
So, without further ado:
1. I’m nerdy. I like to think that I am endearingly so, but I’m pretty sure most people classify it as annoying. I just generally like school
2. I’m frightfully social. I would die without people and my confidence levels are usually dangerously high. I’m known to strike up many the conversation with complete strangers.
3. I like to consider myself “fiercely creative.” It’s my favorite phrase to describe myself. Conceited much? Maybe. But I’ve been told this by a plethora of other humanoids, so perhaps I’m not so far off target…
4. Strongly independent = Me! I’m a leader and I generally dislike being told what to do. As I result, I’ve developed an annoying habit of bossiness.
5. I’m girly . And a little ditzy, sometimes. (Also mildly insane, but we don’t need to go there.)
I love God, my family, my friends, my school, my house, my dog and the whole wide world in general. I’m not afraid to say so. :]
XOXO,
Marbear
